Battleshift: Marconi is a Grid-Based Strategic Card game where you have to balance movement and attack actions while trying to anticipate the enemy's moves.
You have an amount of energy available to play your cards during the Tactic Phase and the Engage Phase of your turn.
But beware! Energy is shared between the two phases, so spend it carefully!
Overview
Control a submarine through your hand of cards to neutralize the enemy submarines.
Ship classes
Submarines can be of different classes, each one with its speciality:
- Basic -> Balanced
- Tank -> Health
- Scout -> Movement Range
- Sniper -> Attack Range
- Bomber -> Attack Power
Turn Structure
A turn is divided into two different phases:
- In the Tactic Phase you can draw cards for movement and its statistics
- In the Engage Phase you can draw cards for attack and its statistics
Obstacles
There are special tiles on the grid with obstacles, some fixed and others that can be placed by the player during the Tactic Phase:
- Cliff -> Fixed, indestructible obstacle
- Fog -> Fixed, grants the possibility to dodge attacks
- Mine -> Placable, if attacked explodes damaging nearby submarines
- Barrier -> Placable, destructible obstacle
The demo offers four different Grid Patterns from which to choose in the level menu, each one with different obstacle schemes.
Scanner
To get a description of the game elements, highlight them with the mouse cursor and read it on the right screen.
Radio
Change the radio frequency to choose the music you prefer.
